10 Reasons Why You Should Be Going Live On Your Facebook Business Page

You know how you LOVE getting free advice all the time? AWESOME. Here’s some more!

We all get the fact that Facebook LIVES have become the most effective way to market ourselves online, but to fully understand WHY, you need to see what Facebook has been adding to people’s business pages, to use for FREE:

1. You can SCHEDULE your Live videos.

Yep. Go to your page > Publishing Tools > Video Library and click on the Live button with the plus sign next to it. From HERE, you can schedule a live-stream video.

2. You can incorporate chatbots.

If you haven’t already done this, check out Manychat.com and download it. It’s free or (get this) a whopping $10 per month for the Pro Version. While there ARE, in fact, other chatbot software companies out there but I’ve been using Manychat and can speak intelligently about it. The reason why I bring this is as #2 is because if you follow #1, you can send a Broadcast to your Manychat subscribers and give them a heads-up that you are going LIVE and pump them up about the subject. Chatbots are only available to be connected to Facebook Business pages. There’s so much more you can do, but for the sake of this blog post I have to move along.

3. You can SHARE your Livestream link on your business page to your personal page and groups that you admin/manage.

You can do this before, during, and AFTER your video is live. So if you want the people from your personal page to check your live video, just let them know or even better, share the link from the LIVE you scheduled in #2 and post as a status on your personal page or even in groups.

4. Video views provide you with data.

You don’t have to be a Facebook analytics nerd, but when you use live video on your business page, Facebook tells you how many views you get and for how long. There’s more information as well but just think about that, for a moment: If you are going live on your personal page, SURE – you can go to the Insights and pat yourself on the back because you got over 1,000 views, 500 comments and bunch of impressions…but wouldn’t it be AWESOME to go back behind ALL of those people and offer them something super cool with a price tag attached to it? Wouldn’t it be even more awesome if you could create a look-alike audience for those very people too? Think about that. People will watch you go LIVE anywhere, so start using your business page and get the free information to help you grow your business.

5. You can add intros, outros, frames, and even background music!

Yep, true story! The Video Creative Kit now allows you to add a frame, your business logo, and now there are over 100 artists who have partnered with Facebook and allowed its users to jam out with going to Facebook jail. Pretty cool, right?

6. Repurposing like a BOSS.

Okay, go back to #4. When you are done with your Facebook Live, right click on it, get the URL, and post the video onto LinkedIn, your personal page, your chatbot subscribers, groups you’re in (get the owner’s permission 1st), your Instagram bio, or even a BLOG! Now, when people watch the video from that link you get even MORE video views to expand your audience reach.

7. Sell your stuff with zero shame.

No, this is not an invitation to be spammy, BUT…your business page is for just THAT – your business! Here’s where you can sell your stuff a few times a week. This is what I recommend, with the rest of your Livestream videos being valuable information for your audience to know, like, and trust you. The point is, when you go live to promote yourself, a product you’re an affiliate for, or someone else, etc. – you are allowed to drop links within that video to get sales.

8. Sharing is caring!

During your video, you will need to be giving strong calls to action, like “Hey if this is valuable information please share it out, sharing is caring!” Remember when we talked about video views and analytics? The more people share your video, the more views you get from THEIR audiences. Keep the dream alive!

9. Transcribing.

Yes, you can pull the text from your Facebook lives and throw it into a blog post. There are plenty of people who are avid blog readers out there, but when you post this on your blog, drop the URL to the video as well. Afterall, they may need more of a visual!

10. Be the expert.

Repeat after me: “I’m an expert at what I do and people deserve to know more about me!” The more you go live on your business page, the more people will give you 5-star reviews and WANT TO HIRE YOU! Use the Business page every time you go live.
